Qasim Zaidi is a Senior Director in Pine Hill’s Accounting Advisory practice where he is responsible for the delivery of all services related to emerging standards — US GAAP convergence and IFRS. He has significant experience working with large global organizations and is focused on assisting with financial reporting issues related to accounting standard changes, transactions and SEC reporting.
Qasim has over twenty years of experience in working with public and private companies on complex accounting matters. Prior to joining Pine Hill in 2018, he worked at Deloitte for almost twenty years with three years at the Managing Director level. Qasim has led several large global audit engagements across a number of industry sectors including consumer products, manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare. His transactional accounting experience covers IPOs and business combinations, stock- based compensation, as well as goodwill impairment considerations and host of other technical accounting matters. He is fluent in GAAP and IFRS and has extensive experience in implementing new standards such as revenue recognition and leasing.
Qasim has a B.A. in Mathematics and Statistics from King Edwards College as well as a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Austin Peay State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and Tennessee, and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Public Accountants.
Qasim is originally from Lahore, Pakistan and has lived in the U.S. for 29 years. He is a resident of Abington where he lives with his wife and three children. In his spare time, Qasim enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and watching cricket and squash.
