Robert is a Senior Director in Pine Hill’s Risk Advisory Services practice where he is focused on assisting clients in evaluating, testing and improving financial, operational and systems controls. Rob has directly led dozens of SOX engagements and facilitated efforts to reduce SOX 404 compliance costs for both year one and recurring SOX efforts. He has also led numerous business risk assessment projects designed to identify the most significant risks facing an organization, evaluate how effectively the organization is mitigating those risks and develop solutions to better monitor the organization’s exposure to those risks going forward. Pine Hill’s clients have come to rely on Rob’s recommended process improvements which often result in efficiencies and cost savings.
Prior to joining Pine Hill, Rob was a manager in the Risk Advisory Services practice at BDO where he oversaw teams of internal audit and technology professionals in the performance of various risk advisory engagements, including SOX 404 readiness and compliance, SSAE 16 SOC I Reporting, business risk assessments, internal audit outsourcing, acquisition due diligence and forensic assessments. Rob also spent several years as a manager within the Risk Management Group of LECG/SMART where he was often responsible for planning and scoping internal audit engagements, providing quality assurance and communicating status and results to executive management and audit committees.
Rob is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He earned Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Accounting and Finance from Temple University. Rob serves on the Board of the Girard Estate Neighbors Association, and currently serves as Treasurer. He also serves as the Treasurer of the Home and School Association at the Russell Byers Charter School where his two older children currently attend. Rob and his wife Jessica are raising three beautiful and energetic children in South Philadelphia, and enjoy spending their weekends exploring the city as a family.
